WATCH: IDF Volunteers from Abroad Make a Difference!

Watch as a group begins their volunteer experience with the IDF.  Sar-El, The National Project for Volunteers in Israel, has approximately 3,000 volunteers making a difference each year from outside Israel, both Jewish and non-Jewish. 

Sar-El began in 1983 during the Galilee War when hundreds of people from abroad came to support Israel. Since it began, people have continued to volunteer with the IDF from 30 countries worldwide. A staggering 132,000 volunteers have joined to date!

In this video, see how the volunteers adjust to life as IDF “soldiers” – such as wearing uniforms, eating army food, and adjusting to army culture on base. This amazing program brings together both Jews and non-Jews who want to give back to Israel.
