Canadian Imam Younus Kathrada declared in a sermon that Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, a Christian, died as a non-Muslim.

He also criticized claims that Abu Akleh is a “martyr” in paradise, arguing that people making such claims are “followers of Satan.”

Kathrada did praise the reporter for exposing what he called the “crimes of the Zionists and prayed for Allah to bring annihilation on the Jews.
