This year’s Yom Ha’atzmaut celebrations will be different than those in the previous 71 years, but you can count on Israelis to create new ways to honor their nation.

While there won’t be massive concerts, well-attended state ceremonies, or giant barbecues in the parks on Yom Ha’atzmaut this year, Israelis will join together to celebrate Independence Day, at least virtually.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a national curfew and tightened restrictions will keep Israelis at home, but the nation will nonetheless cheer 72 years of the Jewish state.
