A group of Jewish Major League baseball players arrived a few days ago for their first visit to Israel.

Interviewed about how it feels to be in Israel for the first time, they all said it was a thrilling experience.

One player said he had always wanted to visit Israel and felt so lucky to be on the trip.

Another said he was very humbled to play for Team Israel in the upcoming World Baseball Classic tournament in March in Seoul, South Korea.

Other comments ranged from expressing pride of their Jewish heritage to feeling comfortable at the prospect of living in Tel Aviv.

On Friday morning they went to the city of Beit Shemesh, known as the baseball capital of Israel, for the groundbreaking of a new baseball field.
