A Palestinian protester dressed up as Santa Claus hurled rocks at Israeli soldiers at the Atara checkpoint near Ramallah this week.
Rock-throwing is deadly. In one case, two-year-old Adele Biton was hit in the head. After spending two years in a rehabilitation center, she succumbed to her wounds.
The latest wave of violence is attributed to President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as capital of the Jewish state.
In fact, Palestinian violence, including rock-throwing, has been ongoing for decades. When Biton was hit, for example, the Obama administration was in power.
