National Guard soldiers in Los Angeles.

When the National Guard was sent in to Los Angeles to restore order after violent riots, the Jewish community welcomed then with open arms, fresh coffee, and plenty of tasty treats.

This heartwarming clip provides a bright spot amid the unrest that has gripped the U.S. since George Floyd died in police custody two weeks ago.

In it, a National Guardsmen describes his experience in Los Angeles’ Jewish community, expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome he received from the Chabad synagogue in the neighborhood.

This is what America needs right now–people bridging the gap between different ethnic groups, communities, and religions.
