terror attack

Every time an Israeli/Jew enters the Temple Mount plaza – Judaism’s holiest site – the Palestinian Authority calls it “an invasion” and a “defilement” or a “desecration,” resulting in violence against Jews.

Recently, official Palestinian Authority (PA) radio broadcast a song accusing “the Zionist” of defiling the mosques and churches in Haifa, Ramallah, Gaza, Jaffa, Ramle, Acre, and “occupied Jerusalem,” Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reports.

PA President Abbas himself called on Palestinians in 2014 to “prevent” Israelis/Jews “in any way whatsoever” from “defiling” the holy sites, PMW notes, adding that his speech was broadcast 32 times in the same year on official PA TV and again dozens of times in 2017 and 2018, sparking new waves of violence. Abbas repeated in 2015 that Palestinians wouldn’t “allow” Jews’ “filthy feet” to “defile” the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The PA has used such statements to fuel Palestinian anger and sense of “danger” to the Islamic holy sites, PMW  says. The watchdog has documented that Palestinian terrorists have acted on this purported danger and carried out terror attacks to “protect” the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
