Twelve years ago, American lone soldier Michael Levin was killed protecting Israel in the second Lebanon War, but his legacy lives on.
Staff Sgt. Michael Levin, raised in Philadelphia, was on leave in the US when the Second Lebanon War started. He could not watch from afar. He returned to his paratrooper company in the IDF and died fighting by its side.
We remember his bravery and courage, which live on in the thousands of lone soldiers who continue down the path Michael laid– to make Aliyah, to serve in the IDF, and to build a life in the land of Israel.
May his memory forever be a blessing.
