This remarkable young Israeli refused to be broken when terrorists murdered her father in 2016, choosing instead to spearhead an organization that puts smiles on the faces of those who need them most.

Orit Mark’s father, Michael, was cut down in the prime of his life, shot to death behind the wheel of his car by Palestinian terrorists near Har Hebron. In the face of this heartbreaking tragedy, Orit vowed to honor her father’s memory by continuing to spread the hope that he brought to the world.

To that end, Orit started an organization called “Michael’s Light” that organizes weekly visits by volunteers to hospitals across Israel, bringing joy to patients with musical instruments, songs, and other surprises.

By helping those in pain experience hope and love, Orit is fulfilling her father’s commitment to increase peace and harmony in the world!
