The upcoming meeting with Biden is “an extraordinary moment” for Bennett, “a fulfillment of his life’s ambition, but he has his hands full,” says Israel’s former ambassador to Washington.

Ahead of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s meeting with US President Joe Biden, former Israeli deputy minister and ambassador to the US Michael Oren comments that “the entire world will be watching.”

All of America’s allies who have seen the events over the past week and a half in Afghanistan are “terrified,” Oren says, explaining that Biden will likely take the opportunity to reassure them that the US will stand by its friends.

As for Bennett, “he has his hands full,” Oren said.
