Eight rockets targeted the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Sunday, likely carried out by Iranian proxies, sparking fears of increased tension ahead of next month’s anniversary of the U.S. slaying of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
Some in Iran fear President Donald Trump may be planning attacks on their country before he leaves office on January 20., while in the U.S. and Israel, some anticipate an Iranian act of aggression in retaliation for the assassination.
