Despite bumps in the road, the Israel-U.K relationship remains rock solid, according to the top British diplomat in the Holy Land.
While the United Kingdom supported the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, Britain’s Ambassador to Israel Neil Wigan recently stressed that his nation supports Israel’s campaign to stave off Iranian missiles pointed at the Jewish state.
“Although we disagree, there is a lot we agree on and can discuss and there’s much to do,” Wigan commented this week.
Wigan also lauded security ties with Israel, adding that Israel’s top trade partner in Europe is the U.K. “The cooperation is spectacular. Today there are more joint exercises, more cooperation,” explains Wigan in the clip below
