In Trump’s words at the Jerusalem Embassy opening were echoes of former US presidents, from Truman to Obama, who spoke in steadfast support of the Jewish state.

In his video remarks at the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem on Monday, President Donald Trump echoed the words of US leaders since the estabishment of the Jewish state.

President Harry Truman, who recognized the modern State of Israel in 1948, was the first. Richard Nixon, another example, provided Israel with deperately needed arms during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Trump, however, had the courage to make history by recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s eternal capital.

Listen to the echoes of US presidents, past and present.

Israel & the US – An unbreakable Bond

From the moment of Israel's formation, the leadership of the United States, from Presidents Truman to Trump, has understood & nurtured the unique bond between our two nations. This true friendship & enduring 🇮🇱🇺🇸 alliance is a source of immense pride and strength for us all.
