Over the past few years, Israeli television hits have made their marks worldwide after being adopted by online streaming networks like Hulu and Netflix.

The Israeli TV series ‘False Flag,’ about three ordinary Israelis that find themselves the main suspects in a terror plot, has it all. No wonder tthat its international success earned it an invitation to premiere its second season at Berlin’s prestigious film festival.

Creator Maria Feldman attributes its success to the fact that besides being a good story, it encompasses current events.

“The more you’re specific to your own place, the more you’re universal,” actress Neta Riskin explains.
