The leading presidential candidate in this week’s Iranian elections is a notorious extremist. The world should be very concerned.

Iran’s presidential election will be held this Friday and it carries serious implications for the region.

The winner is expected to be Ebrahim Raisi, a notorious extremist, who has been cultivated by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Raisi is sanctioned by the United States and U.S. treasury for terrorism, torture and his direct responsibility for 30,000 extrajudicial executions.

The world should be very concerned.
