Shahor Zamor was stabbed repeatedly by a terrorist outside Jerusalem’s Old City, but as soon as he was healthy enough to return to the field, he joined Israel’s newest elite counter-terrorism force.

Israel’s southern resort town of of Eilat sits perched on the Red Sea and remains a target for terror. That’s why brave Israelis like Shahor Zamor signed up for a new elite Israeli police unit called Yasam Eilat.

If Zamor’s name sounds familiar, it could be because he made the news in 2015 when he was critically wounded in a stabbing attack while protecting Jerusalem’s Old City.

Zamor recovered from his wounds and secured a place in the Yasam Eilat, putting his battle-tested experience to use protecting this popular Israeli locale.
