Women of Valor: IDF’s Female Warriors

This photo essay on the IDF is the first in a weekly series focusing on the men and women of the Israel Defense Force.

Female combat soldiers of the IDF field intelligence company “Nachshol” are stationed along the southern Israeli border.

Due to the increased tension in the area, the army conducted unique exercises, practicing clashes with terrorists, storming targets and using high-level camouflage while simulating dangerous scenarios with mock explosives.

While many women in the majority of the Middle East are degraded, robbed of rights and horribly abused, in Israel they are respected and integral to all parts of society, including the IDF.
