The Gazelle Valley, Jerusalem’s first urban nature reserve, is located right near the center of the city.

The Gazelle Valley in Jerusaelm is named for the 30 wild gazelles that roam freely throughout the park.

It is an open space of 250 acres that a number of animal species call home. People from all over come to spend time at the beautiful park surrounded by nature, and to observe the unique animal life.

All of Jerusalem’s runoff water is gathered in a big reservoir there, purified and recycled, and finally becomes part of the natural habitat of the Gazelle Valley.
