Former US Ambassador Dan Shapiro and his family welcomed a reporter to his sukkah in Herzliya.

Ambasssador Shapiro, his wife and their daughter explained why Sukkot is their favorite holiday.

They enjoyed Sukkot in America, but even more so in Israel.

In the spirit of hospitality, the Shapiro family invited many Americans participating in the various exchange programs in Israel.

The ambassador also welcomed a journalist’s questions on controversial issues and Washington’s relationship with Jerusalem.
