Israel responded with a clear message to the terror regime in Gaza, using fire power to communicate that rocket attacks will not be tolerated.

The IDF pounded three posts belonging to the Hamas terror group in the early morning hours on Wednesday after a rocket was launched into Israel from the Gaza Strip.

This attack is the first rocket from Gaza in over a month, the Associated Press reported. The missile exploded in an open field in Israel and caused no injuries.

While no specific Palestinian terror group took credit for the rocket attack, Israel holds Hamas responsible for all aggression emanating from the coastal enclave. Hamas holds itself out as the reigning power in Gaza, keeping the other warring terror factions that operate there at bay.

The Israel-Gaza border has been relatively quiet since the coronavirus pandemic emerged. Israel and Hamas are also reportedly negotiating the return of Israeli captives, Avera Mengistu and Hisham Al Sayeed, held by Hamas, in addition to the remains of two soldiers, Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul.

Hamas seeks the release of hundreds of terrorists from Israeli prisons in return.

Despite the fact that Israel has facilitated the entry of aid and medical supplies to the Gaza Strip, Hamas has ramped up incendiary rhetoric and promotes the false conspiracy that Israel is spreading the virus to Palestinians.

Gaza’s Islamic terror groups, which also include Palestinian Islamic Jihad, ISIS offshoots, and Fatah factions, receive massive amounts of funding from Iran and Qatar, much of which is squandered on pursuing terror infrastructure, such as cross border attack tunnels.

While Hamas hopes to use the tunnels to commit terror attacks in Israeli towns on the other side of the border, the IDF has been successful in locating and destroying them.

Islamic Jihad appears to be behind much of the recent rocket fire from Gaza, launching missiles at Israeli civilians to curry favor with its benefactors in Iran.
