‘A New Equation Against Terror’: Netanyahu Discusses Jenin Operation

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday discussed the IDF’s counterterror operation underway in Jenin, saying that “a new equation has been set against terror.”

Speaking at the US Independence Day event at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Netanyahu explained that “in recent months, Jenin has turned into a safe haven for terrorists.”

“We do not accept this, and are putting an end to it. At this time our troops are operating with force and determination in Jenin.

“They are arresting and killing terrorists, destroying command centers and labs. There is no place where terror is immune.

“We are operating against the terrorists with constant efforts to avoid harm to the uninvolved,” he noted.

Netanyahu emphasized that “we are setting a new equation against terror. Our guiding principle is simple: Anyone who murders Israelis or plans to murder us – his place is either in jail or in the grave.”

“Anyone who harms us or dispatches terror against us has his own blood on his head.”

He added that “‘Operation Home and Garden’ will continue for as long as necessary, until the mission has been completed.”
