Israel Needs Your Help Now! Tell French Telecom Giant Orange there is a price to pay for boycotting and delegitimizing Israel.

French telecom giant Orange has announced plans to stop its business activities in Israel in support of the growing movement to boycott the Jewish State.

We need you to help stop this from happening. If Orange gets away with this, other companies contemplating joining the boycott campaign against Israel will follow Orange’s lead and do the same.

We need to show that there is a price to pay for delegitimizing Israel.

Sample Protest Email to Orange

Dear Orange,
Your decision to single out and cut business ties with Israel puts you on the wrong side of history. Israel is the only country in the Middle East that is a democracy, which ensures the rights of all of its citizens and which fights for the same values that we share throughout the western world.

Israel is a symbol of freedom and justice. Just this week, rockets were fired into its cities by terrorists in the Gaza Strip. You should not be boycotting Israel. You should be supporting Israel, which is a symbol of freedom and is fighting on the front lines for the entire Free World.

By calling to boycott Israel, you are choosing to stand with the likes of terrorists and anti-Semites. You are singling out the Jewish State while ignoring gross human rights violations in other countries, many of which you do business with.

I demand that you change your decision immediately.

PLEASE SHARE THIS CALL TO ACTION WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO SUPPORTS ISRAEL.

WE CANNOT STAND BY AND LET THIS HAPPEN.

UPDATE

United with Israel played a significant role in this campaign that resulted in Richard visiting Israel and meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu in order to recant his words.

Responding to United with Israel’s Call to Action, UWI supporters sent hundreds of personal emails directly to Orange employees expressing their anger over Richard’s statement telling them that “There is a price to pay for boycotting Israel.” Thousands shared their feelings on their Facebook pages, Twitter feeds and other social networks.

Among the comments we received:

“I will contact all my friends that use your telephone system to boycott YOU (Orange)!!!”

“Dear Orange, I fully support Israel and ask that you have the courage to do the same, which is also what is Right!”

“Sent letter to each person on the list. I rewrote the letter and pointed out that the technology for the phones was developed by Israel, and so if they wanted to divest, they should stop using the technology.”

“I sent emails to all of the above. God bless Israel!”

On Friday, June 12, Richard flew specially to Jerusalem and expressed “regret” for the “confusion” emanating from his earlier Cairo statement. He reaffirmed that Orange Telecom is against all manner of boycotts and intends to remain in partnership with Israel for many years.
