La bodega y el viñedo de Kishorit se fundaron en un kibutz del mismo nombre en el norte de Israel en 1994 para proporcionar capacitación vocacional a estudiantes de una escuela cercana para adolescentes con discapacidades.
Los estudiantes dirigen el proceso de producción de vino desde el principio hasta el final.
El nombre «Kishorit» proviene de la palabra «conectar» en hebreo, destacando la conexión que los 160 adultos que viven en Kishorit tienen con la tierra, con su comunidad y con el trabajo.
