“Collaborators twitched as they hung in the air, on the lamp posts that glistened in Palestine Square,” tweeted Chris Gunness, who worked as spokesman for the Palestinians’ UN agency.

Former United Nations official Chris Gunness dropped a string of outlandish tweets this week, substituting the words of well-known Christmas carols with sick lyrics about Palestinian lynchings and references to the recent “war crimes” libel launched against the Jewish state.
Among Gunness’ parodies in the run up to Christmas was his take on the famous Clement Clarke Moore poem, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
Gunness’ version included these lines, “Twas the night before Christmas, when all across The Strip. Not a Qasam Rocket crackled, under Israel’s tight grip. Collaborators twitched as they hung in the air. On the lamp posts that glistened in Palestine Square.”
Gunness’ words referenced the Hamas terror group, which rules the Gaza Strip with an iron fist, brutalizing the population and carrying out extra-judicial killings, including public executions of people accused of “collaborating” with Israel.
The victims are often political opponents that Hamas seeks to eliminate, while terrorizing others into remaining silent.
The “Qasam rockets” mentioned by Gunness refer to the missiles Hamas members fire indiscriminately at Israeli civilians, which have been hidden in United Nations facilities in the Strip. Hamas also frequently uses human shields when launching the rockets, placing civilians at risk of death to thwart Israeli counter-strikes on terrorist positions.
In another one of Gunness’ bizarre tweets, he posted:
“To Mr Netanyahu
You better watch out, you better not cry
You better not pout, I’m telling you why,
The ICC is coming to town.
They know you’ve done some war crimes
They know you you’ve been corrupt,
They know you’ve sanctioned settlements
You are absolutely f***ed.”
In the wake of Gunness’ tweets, Kay Wilson, who survived a horrific Palestinian machete attack, slammed the hypocrisy and vile sentiments expressed, Israel Hayom reported.
Said @ChrisGunness who enabled terrorists to fire rockets on Israeli women, men and children by sheltering them in buildings, left his #UNWRA in squalor, helped himself to a massive salary & shameless faked tears on TV. If there’s an investigation, let’s hope he’s first. https://t.co/dWXzsvaMUl

The United Nations agency that Gunness worked for (UNRWA) permits martyr worship and open anti-Semitism in the textbooks used in its schools. UNRWA is also in the middle of a corruption scandal involving sexual misconduct, nepotism, and abuse of power.
In addition, UNRWA has been accused of grossly inflating the number of so-called Palestinian refugees in a manner that prevents a fair and just resolution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
