The terror group threatened an attack on Judea and Samaria or Jewish targets overseas.

Hamas has threatened to carry out another Oct. 7-style attack against targets in Israel, Judea and Samaria or abroad, sending the warning to Israeli authorities through UN Middle East humanitarian coordinator Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov, Ynet reported Thursday.
Senior members of the terrorist group gave Alakbarov the message when they met with him in the Gaza Strip last week, according to the Oct. 22, 2026, report. COGAT acknowledged the report.
Alakbarov conveyed the warning Wednesday during a meeting with Maj. Gen. Yoram Halevy, Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT).
Israeli officials regarded the message as unusually direct, Ynet reported, and a written account of the threats was sent urgently to the country’s political and security leadership.
The Hamas representatives linked their warning to several developments they said were eroding the group’s hold over Gaza.
Among their concerns were ongoing Israeli military activity and alterations to the “yellow line” delineating IDF positions.
They also pointed to Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas’ decision to cancel elections set for November 28, which they said further weakened Hamas’ position.
Senior Hamas officials told Alakbarov they would not accept the situation continuing under those conditions.
They indicated that the group’s response could include an attack modeled on Oct. 7, with the threat extending beyond Israel to Judea and Samaria and targets overseas.
Former Hamas hostages have described their captors speaking about continued warfare against Israel, including explicit threats of a repeat of the Oct. 7 massacre.
Avinatan Or said a captor identified by the alias Abu Hassan told him shortly before his release that Hamas would carry out another attack like Oct. 7. Abu Hassan also advised Or to take his family to Europe for their safety.
Tal Shoham, who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Be’eri and spent more than 500 days in captivity, said his guards repeatedly expressed hatred and reinforced messages indicating that Hamas did not intend to stop fighting Israel. From what he personally saw and heard during his captivity, Shoham concluded that peace would not be possible “in our generation.”
