Police were successful in preventing what would have been yet another Palestinian terror attack.

Alert police officers in Jerusalem prevented a stabbing attack on Tuesday when they apprehended a Palestinian woman in route to commit a terror attack.

Officers patrolling the center of town noticed a young Palestinian acting suspiciously. They approached her with caution and searched her bag. They found she was carrying a large screwdriver, apparently to use in an attack against Israelis.

The would-be-terrorist was taken for questioning, during which she admitted she intended to carry out a stabbing attack, police stated.

She was identified as an 18-year-old resident of the Palestinian village of Akeb, situated north of the capital.

This incident came just a day after a Palestinian terrorist rammed his car into 11 pedestrians who were waiting for a bus at the entrance to the city. Doctors are still fighting to save the foot of a toddler who was moderately wounded in the attack.

These incidents were the latest in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks – some more than once a day – that have plagued Israelis over the course of three months, claiming the lives of 21 victims and wounding some 220.
