The recent Palestinian wave of violence is marked by an increased female role, with several teenage females driven to mostly suicidal attacks – a result of incessant incitement by the Palestinian leadership.
Israeli security forces were successful in thwarting two attempts by Palestinian women to stab Israelis.
On Tuesday, security forces arrested a 17 year old Palestinian female at the Tapuach junction in Samaria after receiving information she was planning to carry out a stabbing attack.
Acting on prior intelligence about a pending attack by the woman, security forces boosted their presence in the area and finally located the suspect inside a taxi that was crossing the checkpoint at the junction.
She was found to be carrying a large kitchen knife.
On Monday night, a terror attack was foiled by vigilant security personnel at the Olives Crossing at the entrance to Jerusalem.
Border Police detained two Palestinian females, residents of the Palestinian neighborhood of Abu Dis in Jerusalem, after two knives were found in their bags.
The two suspects, aged 29 and 24, confessed during their initial questioning that their intent was to carry out a stabbing attack.

These incidents were the latest in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of over six months, claiming the lives of 33 victims and wounding some 400.
