Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was admitted to the Ein Kerem branch of Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem Tuesday evening with a high fever and cough.

His physician, Dr. Tzvi Berkowitz, said in a statement that the prime minister had not fully recovered from an illness two weeks ago. A lack of rest, he explained, had caused his condition to deteriorate.

Netanyahu, 68, underwent a series of tests but was later released.

“The tests indicated a minor viral infection of his upper respiratory tract. The doctors recommended rest and medication,” according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.

He will likely be well enough to preside over a cabinet meeting scheduled for Wednesday, which Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman will lead if Netanyahu still needs to recuperate.

“To our dear prime minister, I wish you a speedy recovery,” Liberman tweeted. “It is important to me and the entire nation of Israel that you are healthy as you sit with your dear family for the Passover feast, that you eat a lot of charoset and ever a a few bitter herbs. Be healthy!”
