Veteran singer Rod Stewart will hold a concert in Tel Aviv’s HaYarkon Park in June as part of his world tour.
Rock star Rod Stewart is the latest top-tier musician to announce a performance in Israel this summer.
Stewart, who will give a concert in June in Tel Aviv’s HaYarkon Park, posted a special video message for his Israeli fans, promising “a splendid night of fantastic music.”
“This is Rod Stewart here and I shall be coming to Tel Aviv on June 14, playing at Hayarkon Park,” he says in the clip posted on Facebook. “So don’t miss it, it’s going to be a splendid night of fantastic music where you’ll hear everything you want to hear. June 14, Tel Aviv. Don’t miss it.”
The British musician’s visit will be part of his world tour, “From Gasoline Alley to Another Country: Hits.” The song list is to include songs from his 50-year career, running up to his latest album.
This is the rocker’s third visit to the Holy Land, after having visited in 1983 and 2010.
Stewart is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, having sold over 100 million records worldwide.
The list of front-line performers slated to rock Israel in 2017 is becoming longer on almost a daily basis.
The Chemical Brothers held a fabulous concert in Israel in November, despite pressure by anti-Israel activist Roger Waters to cancel their performance in Israel.
