According to a statement from Netanyahu’s office, Israel will allow a minimal amount of food into Gaza while taking steps to prevent Hamas from seizing the aid.
A special staff will be set up in the PMO to implement it, and the prime minister will head a ministerial committee to oversee overall government policy for the plan.
Amid mounting global calls for increased aid to Gaza, the limited capacity of humanitarian organizations hampers the efficient delivery of much-needed assistance.
