In a historic event attended by leading rabbinic figures and thousands of students, the world’s largest and most ornate Torah ark was inaugurated at the Ateret Shlomo Yeshiva campus in Rishon LeZion, near Tel Aviv.

The occasion also marked the ceremonial introduction of a newly written miniature Torah scroll into the ark.

The massive celebration, held Thursday night, drew thousands of alumni and supporters of the Ateret Shlomo Yeshiva.

The highlight was the unveiling of a majestic Torah ark, crafted entirely from pure gold and silver, befitting a sanctuary devoted to Torah study.

Festivities began with the completion of the final letters of the Torah scroll, written in the home of Rabbi Buchris in Rishon LeZion.

From there, a grand procession made its way to the yeshiva campus, parading through the city streets to honor the Torah with great dignity and reverence.

Upon arrival, the scroll was welcomed with spirited dancing led by Rosh Yeshiva Sorotzkin, joined by faculty and thousands of students who filled the beit midrash in a show of profound joy and honor for the Torah.

The scroll was then placed inside the monumental Torah ark, a towering, gilded structure regarded as the most elaborate ever built.

The celebration continued in the yeshiva courtyard, where a lineup of esteemed Torah leaders delivered powerful words of encouragement and inspiration.

Among them: Rabbis Hirsch, Povarsky, Bergman, Yosef, Steinman, Edelstein, Galai, Perid, Soloveitchik, Ben Shimon, Engelman, Nachshoni, and the yeshiva heads Sorotzkin, Ozband, and Feinstein.

Also in attendance were philanthropists and community leaders from across the globe, all gathered to elevate the honor of Torah during a time when its light is needed more than ever.

The rabbinic speakers praised the thousands of students of Ateret Shlomo for their dedication to Torah learning and for upholding its crown with pride and strength.
