Saeb Erekat, secretary-general of the Palestine Liberation Organization, denounced the US official’s visit to Judaism’s holy site, threatening that it will “only lead to lawlessness.”
US National Security Adviser John Bolton toured the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem on Sunday, accompanied by US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and Rabbi Mordechai Soli Eliav, chairman of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation.

“This behavior will not change the fact that East Jerusalem is occupied territory and the capital of the state of Palestine,” Erekat tweeted.
