Senior Palestinian Authority official Saeb Erekat, defended Hamas against charges that it is a terror organization during a hearing at the United Nations.

In an outrageous statement, Erekat claimed that the Gaza-based Islamic terror group is merely a “Palestinian political party.”

The Jordanian-born Erekat had served as chief of the PLO Steering and Monitoring Committee and negotiated the Oslo Accords with Israel.
