IDF Reserve Soldiers

Every year, IDF reserve soldiers leave their families and go to train to defend Israel against its enemies.

After Israelis complete their mandatory army service, soldiers are called up for periodic reserve duty to hone their skills.

In one recent drill, reserve soldiers in a paratroop unit trained just as hard as new recruits.

Being called up for reserve duty mean being away from family and work for days, or even weeks at a time.
