Israel has joined the international relief effort to help the Yazidis, Christians and other refugees fleeing from the Islamic State (ISIS).

We have reported already on how Israel is providing assistance to the Yazidis and Christians as they flee from the barbarism and terror of ISIS. The support is coming through IsraAid and their partners who are distributing emergency supplies to those who need them.

To date 2,000 blankets and mattresses have been given out, as well as food for 1,000 babies. The refugees are seeking a safe haven in the Kurdish Region of Iraq (KRI).

The situation in the KRI is becoming severe with the onset of winter. There are 1.4 million people who have been internally displaced and over 200,000 Syrian refugees who are fleeing ISIS.

The video below shows the great work that IsraAid is doing to benefit the refugees.
