Netanyahu gets warm welcome in Beijing

On his first visit to China since 2013, Netanyahu and his wife Sara, joined by the prime minister’s entourage, were warmly greeted.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara were warmly welcomed to Beijing on Sunday.

The focus of the trip, according to the Prime Minister’s office, is the “continued strengthening of economic cooperation with the Chinese government — increased Israeli exports to China, attracting Chinese investments in Israel, and increased industrial and research cooperation between Chinese and Israeli companies.”

“Warm welcome in China. A great honor for Israel!” Netanyahu wrote on Facebook after landing in the Chinese capital.
