ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda announced Wednesday that the court would launch “an investigation respecting the Situation in Palestine.”

“The decision of the International Court to open an investigation against Israel today for war crimes is absurd. It’s undiluted anti-Semitism and the height of hypocrisy,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said Wednesday in a videotaped statement, following the ICC’s announcement that it would launch a probe into Israel’s conduct in the 2014 summer war with Hamas and its jurisdiction over.
