A Canadian journalist refused to report that Palestinian terrorists stopped a convoy aid by shooting at aid trucks, implying it was Israel’s fault.

The media watchdog group Honest Reporting (HR) caught a Canadian journalist implying that Israel had cut off humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, failing to tell the truth: Palestinian terrorists were the actual culprits.
Last week, as Hamas terrorists continued to fire rockets at Israeli civilians, CTV correspondent Paul Workman reported that there was “an impending humanitarian crisis” because humanitarian aid was being “blocked at the border” and not reaching innocent Gazans who needed it.
What Workman didn’t reveal was who blocked those humanitarian shipments, leaving viewers to assume Israel is the bad guy. Nor did Workman mention that an Israeli soldier was injured in the attacks, which were widely publicized by the terror group.
The truth is that Israel protected both the Palestinian drivers of the aid trucks and the Israeli staff at the Kerem Shalom border crossing when terrorists from the Iran-backed Islamic Jihad terror group repeatedly opened fire on the truck.
Islamic Jihad posted a video on its website of its terrorists firing mortars, shouting “Allahu akhbar” with each round.
The terrorists also posted on their Telegram channel that the Kerem Shalom crossing was specifically targeted several times that day.
“Also untold by Paul Workman and as the Times of Israel reports, Hamas’s own rockets damaged power lines on the Israeli side [leading to Gaza], which partially explains the lack of electricity in Gaza,” Honest Reporting noted.
“Furthermore, Israel’s military liaison to the Palestinians, known by its acronym COGAT, said that Hamas disabled Gaza City’s desalination plant, cutting some 250,000 residents off from their water supply.”
It remains to be seen whether Workman will report that immediately after Hamas and Islamic Jihad stopped shooting at the crossing, Israel resumed the transfer of tens of thousands of tons of relief supplies into Gaza.
