A Hamas campaign to attract tourists portrays an affluent Gaza Strip, but the media tells a different story. Which do you believe?
A new online campaign, titled #ShukranHamas, meaning “Thank you, Hamas,” aims to bring tourists to Gaza.
The campaign video shows beautiful beaches, clean streets, impressive buildings, shopping centers, an abundance of produce and attractive tourist sites.
The message from the media, however, is very different. Gaza is allegedly experiencing a horrible “occupation” by the Israelis, and Hamas urges human rights activists to break the “siege” in order to transfer food and medicine to the unfortunate civilians.
Only one story can be true. Which do you believe?
