The plaque reads: “Kushner Garden of Peace in honor of Jared Kushner whose indispensable role in brokering the Abraham Accords and advancing peace will not be forgotten”

At the inauguration of the Kushner Garden of Peace at the Grove of Nations in the Jerusalem Forest on Monday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lauded Jared Kushner – President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser – for his important contribution to peace between Israel and Arab countries.

The Grove of Nations, established by Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael/Jewish National Fund in 2005, makes up a part of the initiative led by UNESCO and the Council of Europe to establish an Olive Tree Route around the entire Mediterranean basin expressing the common desire for peace and co-existence.

During the ceremony, 18 olive trees were planted, and the traditional Jewish planter’s prayer was recited in English by Kushner and in Hebrew by KKL-JNF World Chairman Avraham Duvdevani.
